Case Study:
Self-service infographics library for investment banking
Themeable system enabling non-designers to deliver client-ready work
Role: Art direction, graphic design
Problem
Investment bankers needed client-specific presentations but gave vague design requests to non-design operators, causing quality issues and bottlenecks. Creative team became overwhelmed with ad-hoc requests that followed similar patterns.
My Approach
Instead of custom designing every request, I identified the recurring patterns and built a flexible component library. Icons and visual assets were designed to be topic-agnostic and brand-agnostic — the same component could adapt to any client's brand colors while maintaining visual quality. This shifted the workflow from "design on demand" to "apply and customize."

Result
Quality improved, efficiency increased, and the system achieved adoption across all 10 team members (designers + operators). Non-designers could now deliver client-ready work independently using the library. Bankers adopted the approach because turnaround time dropped and quality became consistent.
Impact
10-person team adoption
Reduced bottlenecks
Improved QA ratings
Enabled non-designer operators
